Do you offer the removal of old countertops during installation?
Our revamp service includes the removal of existing countertops. We can even recycle your old materials into stone pavement or other sustainable applications to support eco-friendly practices.
Installation Process and Timeline

How long does the installation process typically take?
We guarantee a three-day turnaround time from manufacture to installation for our granite and quartz worktops.
What preparation should I complete before installation day?
Clear all worktop surfaces completely and empty the sink base unit to allow our installers smooth access for efficient completion.
Do you handle plumbing or electrical adjustments during installation?
As part of our Revamp Service, we manage the disconnection and reinstallation of sinks, taps, and hobs, whether they are gas or electric. However, please note that electrical work, tile removal, glass splashback removal, and modifications to wooden sills are not included and will require separate specialist tradespeople.These services are not offered as part of a standard installation and are exclusive to our Revamp Service.

How do I care for granite surfaces?
For optimal results, use granite-specific cleaners applied with a damp cloth. These are specially formulated to preserve the stone’s finish and prolong the effectiveness of any protective sealants. For everyday cleaning, standard soap and warm water are perfectly adequate. You may also use multi-surface sprays with low bleach content, provided they are labelled safe for stone surfaces. Avoid acidic cleaners such as vinegar, lemon juice, or any harsh chemicals, as these can break down sealants and potentially damage the stone over time.
How do I care for quartz surfaces?
For everyday maintenance, mild detergent or hot soapy water is all you need to keep your quartz worktops clean and looking their best. You can also use multi-surface sprays with low bleach content, as long as they are safe for use on stone surfaces. These are suitable for routine cleaning and help maintain the surface without dulling the finish. Avoid harsh chemicals, strong bleach, or abrasive pads, as these may cause discolouration or surface damage over time.
Are these materials resistant to stains or scratches?
Quartz’s low porosity makes it highly resistant to staining and damage absorption, while granite’s greater porosity increases susceptibility to stains. Both materials offer excellent scratch resistance, with only materials such as diamond being harder.
Can I place hot pans or pots directly on the surface?
Both granite and Itastone Quartz offer good heat resistance, but shouldn’t be considered completely heatproof. To protect the longevity of your kitchen worktop, we recommend using pan stands and chopping boards.
